2006 Annual Synod
The 2006 annual Synod of the Old Catholic Church of
North America was held June 28-29 at the Cathedral of
Jesus of Nazareth in Tampa, Florida.  Dcn. Kevin
Adamson of the Diocese of the Holy Spirit, a US Army
Chaplain's Assistant,  gave a presentation regarding
military chaplaincy.  Canon Pam LeClerc of the Diocese of
St. Michael the Archangel gave a presentation on jail and
hospital chaplaincy.

Fr. Rick Saint taught on the ministry of healing and led a
healing mass.  Special guests included the healing team
from Ignited Church in Lakeland, who assisted in praying
for the sick.  Several testimonies of divine healing have
been reported.

The synod concluded with a pontifical mass, presided over
by Bishops Paul Combs and Michael NeSmith.  During
this mass, Rev. Wade Fahnestock was ordained to the
priesthood and Rev. Hector Trevino was ordained to the

Announcements
St. Thomas More achieves "Church" status.
On Pentecost Sunday, May 27, 2007, Bishop Paul
Combs visited St. Thomas More to confirm 3 adults.
Three additional individuals were received as new
members of the church.  Together, this pushed St.
Thomas More over the threshold, from mission status
into full Church status.  All present were thrilled to be part
of this historic milestone in the life of the church.

Bishop Combs took this occasion to surprise the parish,
and Father Rick, by announcing that Father Rick has
been designated a Monsignor.

Congratulations to Monsignor Rick!
We've Moved!
As our parish has grown, we've found a need to relocate.  Currently,
about half of our parish is from the far south end of Lakeland, and half
from the north end of town.  As we've prayed about what to do, God
has opened up to us a wonderful opportunity.

We have now moved to 730 S. Florida Ave, where we are sharing the
facilities of Westminster Presbyterian Church.  This new, downtown,
location is a perfect place to continue our growth and meet the needs
of our parish.
